Darshana

I am a Visual Artist with a BVA in Painting from College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath. I make art inspired by my personal and emotional experiences. My work has influenced my studio practice over the years as I create a visual narrative of the self through figurative compositions prompted by my everyday life and surroundings.

Through my work I explore the depths of my emotional Being, using self portraits and figurative compositions to form a visual narrative of my life.

I use colours that portray my emotional state to set the mood and experiment with textures to capture the subtle grit and grain of everyday life, the abstract tiny details of reality that go unnoticed on a busy day, like finding faces on the bathroom tiles.
